Hi

Frame number on my GPZ1100b1 is normal KZT10B-xxxxxx but I have an engine number of KZT14BE-xxxxxx, not the expected KZT10BE for an 1100 engine. I cannot find any reference anywhere to KZT14BE number, anybody know anything about this number?
TIA

A pic of your engine number (without serial#.) would be help full.
Could be a monday morning sake hang over mis-print or an exchange
warrenty engine/case print (due to the service bulletins) by the dealer........

ZZR14 aka ZX14 maybe?
Warren ZZR's are water-cooled and that definitely looks like a "J" motor to me ? (with a wonky engine number !!)
The spacing and font look very different to my "K" maybe this one has a story to tell !!! does the number match the log-book ?

yes it matches logbook. I think the paint makes the font look a little rough in the pic. Ill have closer look on the engine tomorrow

My "genuine" 1981 GPZ 1100 B1 has the "raised" ridge around the engine number surface, to prevent funny business.
Also, on mine, the "1" in K Z T I 0 B E does not have a serif, so the original font was "sans serif".

The frame and engine numbers do not match, and are 22 counts  different, which I'm led to believe was "normal" back in the day.
