Vintage, Custom, Factory Tools
02 Oct 2015 14:50
Was out in the garage, emptying some Beer cans. Reminiscing and seen these old tools.
I made these up in about 1977-78. And I still go to them in the tool box!
The plug socket stuck to a T-handle, gas welded with brass at the "T" then fiberglass body filler holding socket on!
Then the #2 JIS factory tool kit shaft brazed on to a piece of whatever I found.
I used that screw driver on every carb and air filter screw clamp I ever took apart. 1000's not 100's!
The T handle for the plugs also, some old black tape on to hold plug in place!
It's amazing how some things just stay around for 30-35 years!
Crude and simple. If they could only talk and tell the stories!
Just a little history of myself (American Picker style)

I can relate! I have about a dozen special home-made tools for the bike. One day after I'm dead somebody will find those tools and wonder what the heck they were for. Ed
