I built this a while back for stock 77-78 kz650 and kz1000 tanks and will probably make another one soon.
It makes pulling the tank and finding a secure place to set it real easy, the 2x6's fit in side the curved lip of the tank and prevent it from sliding forward or back wards.
Very solid even a full tank of gas

Nice! This is mine. You can swap the front piece 180 degrees to fit either the KZ or ZRX tanks.
