FCR 35mm

Hello everyone , I have a friend in the U.K who has a set of Keihin FCR 35mm carbs by Bito R&D anodized, for a kz1000 ,They are in nice shape Lightly used, he's willing to sell them to me for what I think is a descent price. still 800 bucks shipped isn't that cheap  , they were only used lightly when he bought them , Currently they are on his shelf for a build that got canceled. I have never used FCR carbs before and wondering if anyone had any experience with them. I have been Looking for A set of carbs for an Eddie Lawson replica track bike build with a big bore UT 84 head big valves, lightly ported will have performance cams , I would like to build eventually. I was thinking about trying them out on the current 1980 Moriwaki tribute I had built since its a big bore with a ported head and bigger intake valves by the late Larry C, currently running 410 ape cams . I think the size of that engine should be ok for the carbs and currently running rs34's .  Does anyone have any experience with FCR carbs?  I do know parts are not so readily available in the USA for these and new they are way expensive, I have seen the price in Japan for the FCR 35 dark anodized by Bito R&D and they are big bucks for me to acquire like over 1600 and that's before shipping and tax , I paid 425 for my mikuni rs 34's in 2010. I cant justify spending 2 grand on a new set of FCR's. Any way just looking for some thoughts on the FCR's as far as tuning and performance, I know they don't have a choke but that's not an issue and I verified there is no wear on the mid bodies were slide rollers Track like I said they are very lightly used. Thery are close to new condition. I think the size will be fine its just I have no experience with this Carb's manners and figured I'd ask , I did notice Bulldock builder in Japan had been using then on there builds .  Thanks

Can't help you with the FCR's but I would like some more pics of the Moriwaki for a BOTM feature (have emailed you a couple of times)

I don't recall anyone on here recently ever having tuning questions on them as they are more popular in Japan. The only thing you might have a issue with is buying all the brass required to tune a Keihin product if you only have Mikuin jets. As far as performance there may be a slight gain at high RPM, maybe a couple of HP over the 34's. They are a nicer looking carb, draw the eye more than a RS set, look more "racy".
