My old dampers were like that, and I found using an oil-filter cover o-ring took up the slack. It wasn't perfect, but provided the much-needed support...fit just under the SS retaining ring, and stretched over the top of the gauge without having to remove anything.
Just don't over tighten the center bolt at the back, since the post support can be easily broken off.
After I found this set, that old business went to the circular file.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationIf you are looking for 150 mph uk clocks then look at Gt550 Gt750 GPz550 all very similar but without the big 'Lawson
GPZ11 rare' price tags.
You may need to reconfigure the block connector though.
zr550 zr750 'zephyr' 150 mph beehives are great and quite cheap now. Lovely green glow at night too.

Another thing to check around the bouncing needle - When I had my coils off, I noticed that the green coil wire had the insulation rubbed off in one spot. Wrapped it in electric tape and by bouncing tach issue went away immediately. Must have been grounding or getting interference sending a funky signal.

gvsu141, I'll look into that but it's less likely since I have a spare tach that works perfectly but is more beat up than the one that's bouncing.
Tyrell, The Speedo for the KZ1100A is electronic, not mechanical but you have just given me an idea for my GPz rebuild.

I was thinking of getting some delrin and turning it to a facsimile of the damper contours with just enough room to put a layer of silicon wrap under it.
Anyone still need a set of 92075-1315 meter dampers?
