Koso RX2N+ GP Style - Switch bracket mounting

Hi,

I`m looking into install Koso RX2N+ GP Style with sensor on the rear wheel.
There should be straight forward job to drill a whole in the brake calipet bracket and make some threads for a bolt to the sensor bracket?
Shall the sensor pickup the wholes in the brake disc or the bolts holding the brake disc ?

Yes, if your rotor bolts are magnetizable, (some stainless bolts did not), you can use the rotor bolts.

Thank you, will check it :)

it’s not a problem that it gets two many pulses per rotation? When driving fast, so the pulses have to high hz so the speedo loose pulses?

I see I have more bolts then you?

So more bolts per wheel rev, so more accurate the speed readings!

Agree, but the pulse "train" will be much faster also... just wondering if the input is fast enoudh to detect it.
If the scan time on the input is lower then the pulsing will it loose pulses and I will not get correct reading...

The pulse "train" set up has the same function as your ignition pic-ups, The eletronic igniter can handle a lot more than + 10000 rpm = + 20000 impulses per min.

Perfect, quite high sampling rate then.

Think I will go for these speedo  :)

I’m consider a different model from Koso (maybe better match when it comes to style for my bike).

KOSO Digital DL-03SR

I can see it follow magnets for the sensor, does that mean I need to use them?

Yes, you need to use the magnets. The KOSO Digital DL-03SR has a passive sensor.

Thank you, do you know if I can install a active sensor to the speedo? Same sensors as you have example?

I guess using magnet is something I should try to avoid...?

Which sensor (passive/active) you get is dependent of the type of tacho/speedo you order. The newer, quite more expencive KOSO tachs have an active sensor with a blue flashing impulse indicator LED on top.

I understand, maybe it’s posdible to have a converter from active to passive...

active sensor - cable - converter to passive - cable - speedo input.

jeje I will look further to see if I find a speedo with active sensor and a look I like...,
