Trouble with turn signals- 1979 KZ750B

I bought a 79 KZ750B a week ago as my first motorcycle. It was missing turn signals when I got it, so I bought some off eBay and installed them (wiring is gray to gray, black/yellow to black/yellow for right, gray to green and black/yellow to black/yellow for left) as well as new bulbs for the indicator lights. Neither the front nor rear turn signals light up at all, and neither do the turn signal indicator lights.  What do I try next to get them to work?

Is the flasher still in place. Is power getting in and out of the switch?

The flasher may be missing because I can’t find it. Is this where it’s supposed to be?

Those appear to be the wires that go to the flasher.
TexasKZ called it.
Orange and brown.

If you switch on your left or right turn signal and connect those two wires together, you will get a steady on light.
Put a flasher relay in and you should be good.

Can I put just any 2-pin 12 volt flasher in as long as it’s at or above the wattage listed in the wiring diagram?

Yeah, should be fine.
Unless you are running led turn signals. Then you may need a solid state flasher.

I’ve had good luck with these.  Will work with both LED and incandescent
