Kawasaki kz550 1989
12 Jan 2022 08:52
Hi
I'm in the process of building a cafe racer 1989 kz 550, my question is the battery, I have looked into 12ah gel batteries and they all seem quite large, I'm looking into placing the battery under the seat, any ideas considered.
Thanks

Lithium batteries are much smaller. You will need a specific regulator for it. I believe Rick’s Motorsports sells the regulator.

Hi TexasKZ
Thanks for the reply, I think I will try to fit a gel battery the best I can.
I find it difficult to justify £180 for a mossfet regulator and lithium battery.
Many thanks
Matt
