I have bought coils from Z power, i am not sure what the resistance is but they said they would be compatible with the bb system

Hi Andy, if you have 4 ohm coils they will draw approx 3amps each, since at times both coils are powered simultaneously you would need to double that to 6amps. You then need to allow for that figure changing due to voltage variations so I would suggest a relay rated at 10amps or above
If they are 2ohm coils (unlikely) the current draw would be 6amps each so you would be best to use a relay rated at 20amps or above. (Using a slightly heavier relay has no detrimental effect)

thanks for the message, in the wiredgeorge relay mod if you have seen it, does the wire 12v feed to the ignition trigger unit just come off the same terminal as the feed to the coils?

Ref the live feed for your "BB" ignition trigger, yes I would also take this from the output side of the relay (new coil feed) to ensure best possible performance
