Starter assemblies for 550 A or C3 different?

need to replace the right handle bar housing assembly control - the stop/start switch and starter button
found one that is for an 550 A1, 2, 3, or 4.
the question: will that work with my 550 C3 --  without to much inventive work?

seems the difference is in some mechanicals and mostly finishes?
