I mounted a bypass on the left inside edge of the battery box on my KZ1000.  I also use the brown wire for power, but the KZ1000 has a spare brown wire near the headlight.  I don't see it on your wiring diagram.  The mickey mouse attachment provided by Dyna is prone to failure.
HRM are you using the brown to switch the relay (by-passing the kill switch ?)

I mounted my coil to the frame under the seat behind the battery box, in front of the seat latch. White is 12v fused from battery, black is chassis ground, one yellow red is switched 12v from stop-run-stop, to power relay coil, the other yellow red is load to powers the coils.

Seen here is yellow red from relay, I added the red which is power for the Dyna S.

Yes that is the correct pin layout. Most auto parts stores will have them on the shelf. You only need one. The second one in the photo I posted is for an illuminated license plate frame to activate the brake light within the frame.

I was planning to do the Dyna s install on my 1980 kz650E tomorrow.
This has helped me greatly as i was also thinking where to draw the current from or just follow the instructions. The by - pass relay makes perfect sense.  Thanks and good read.

I would have to check to be sure but I believe so.  I may have added a double terminal to the red from the kill switch, as I don't like the attachment Dyna provides witth their ignition.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
