Igniter conversion??
04 Jan 2024 13:52
Looking for a igniter for conversion of my 791000b3 to b4 ignition, I came across a seller on that site that rhymes with ,, me pay,, that has a factory Kawasaki box that has a part number 21119-5001(the part number for a b4 and others early kz with electronic ignition. In side this box is another box labeled 21119-1429 (igniter) and a sealed plastic bag with a wiring harness that goes from a square plug to bullet connectors. My question is did Kawasaki offer this ,,what year, any benefits and is there any magic in this harness or is it just a straightforward adapter for square plug to bullets?

I had an intermittent problem in my ignition system a couple of years ago so I pulled it all off and switched to a Dyna setup with 4 ohm coils. I don't remember if I kept the original ignition but if I did and can find it you are welcome to have it for the cost of shipping. It was off a B4. I'm in BC, Canada.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Thank you! That is a very generous offer! I have been told that I am spending a little to much $ on my toys. But if you want to go to the bother to find the parts and give me a price for shipping, I would have to entertain the idea just out off respect,, right? Besides if you don’t tell I won’t..lol. You can use my email if you want to go to the trouble. Thank you!!! My zip code in the USA Is 57004!

I checked this morning. Found nothing. I must have thrown them out.
