I also recommend cycleterminal.com.  Joe sells high quality connectors and tools for reasonable prices.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

The reason you are using sleeve is to avoid mechanical stress on soldering?

The metal sleeve does relieve stress but it also allows for a "cleaner" joint especially when joining multiple cables, once taped into a loom it will produce a nicer finish.

You could solder and heat shrink but good quality crimp connectors would suffice.

okey, but I guess need special crimping tool, maybe easier to go for solder and heat shrink?
In general way sometimes we want to solider and sometimes not?

It's your choice, you don't have to spend a fortune on your crimping tool and you will need one for the rest of the bullet/multi-plug connectors that you will use in building a harness

I understand, I`m was thinking using Deutsch AT-DT type.

Amphenol Deutsch AT-DT Type Connector and Terminals

I have some questions around these:
1. Do I need a chrim tool for these connectors?
2. I understand I need a tool for open them up?
3. On the site they say that the kit fits 16-18 AWG terminals, is these the size include the insulation or only the core of the cabels?
4. I have order these cable kit  mo.unit Cable Kit - CafeRacerWebshop.com
5. Is it possible to go from one size og cable to another with these type of connectors?

Is their other things I need for these kit with Deutsch AT-DT ?

Open barrel terminals. same as stock. where the terminal is crimped, the terminal grips the wire and grips the insulation. very good/strong.

How-to page. www.cycleterminal.com/crimp-tool-help.html

Correct crimping and crimping checks. photo from the site. buy extra terminal pins for practicing.

Open barrel crimper. crimping tool.

AFAIK, any male or female single connector whithout insulation is an open barrel type.
Correct me if i´m wrong.....
