tach problems

if anyone can help me with this one ...i will be very happy....i am trying to get a tach to work...i have my electric zx dash but a mechanical kz dash....can u convert electric to mechanical....or does anyone know who sells a very small mechanical dash that i can mount near the handlebars as so it wont get in the way of anything? thanx in advance

Yea I have a similar problem with a '81 GPZ 550 motor in a '83 GPZ 550. The dash has electonical tach, but the motor is mechanical.
