Bars on an 84 gpz...how to tighten was created by tnutz
Does anyone know how to tighten the handle bars on these things??? (clip ons) the one on the left side is a tiny bit loose....anyone???

Never had one. But I just looked at the parts diagrams, and it looks like the top bolt for the forks, part # 92001B tightens them down.

The large top cap #92001B shown in the diagram, when tightened down, clamps the clipon against the upper triple clamp. The "fork" on the clipon fits under a small sheetmetal clamp to keep it from rotating. If the top cap has been tightened down and the clipon is still loose, there's a possibility the front end has been apart and the stanchion is pushed too far up through the triple clamps.
The top caps are only to clamp down the clipons, so removing them will not release the fork springs. Inside the stanchion is another cap that is removed with a socket extension to release the springs, change fork oil etc.
