76 KZ900 Seat Compatibility was created by Maverick
Hello fellow KZ Riders,
I have a quick question about seat compatibility. What years/models of the Z1/KZ900/KZ1000 have the same seat pan and seat mounting configuration as the 76 KZ900?
Cheers!

The KZ1000 A models (1000 std) from 77 thru 78 use the same seat set up as well as the KZ1000 B models (LTD) from 77 to 80. Any of these will interchange with a 76 KZ 900 with no modifications required.

Thanks Gringo!
Anybody know about the earlier 73-75 Z1/KZ900s? I checked the Corbin website and they seem to indicate that the 73-75 seat is not compatible with the later models.
Cheers,
Mav

Corbin is correct, if memory serves me correctly the seat lock is in a different location on the earlier Z-1's so it will not work.
