here's mine. i welded in a plate, 1 to keep water out and also to keep the rear subframe rails from flexing out under load.

Here's the end result of a four more frame gusset and tail chop. The last pic is probably (hopefully) a lot less elegant that what my fabricator buddy will come up with this weekend to get the frame up into the H2R tail...

If you do chop the end off at least have the holes welded shut and dont bondo the holes. This would help keep some strength and its just the right way to do it. It would be a really good idea to put in a brace just to be safe.

i bobbed the frame on my csr for my drag bobber project. i cut the rear loop off & shortened it a few inches then welded it back on.
I can beat the paramedics to my crashes by at least 10 minutes.

Weld the loop back on? Now there is an idea, except I cannot weld. Maybe I make it work though.

If you look in Projects under Cafe shoe you will see how I cut then shortened my upper frame ,, :)
