anyone ever switch over to the ex500 caliper? its the hot upgrade on h1's . would the same bracket work on 77 kz650
kawtriple.com/mraxl/caliper/conversions.htm
still kaw product(the ex's is the ninja line) lighter and a lot more stopper than the grunts that came on the kz's and h1's

as seen on the link: it shows the caliper from a kz( 650 and 900) as direct bolt ons to the h1 so i am going to do the reverse logic that the bracket shown to adapt the ex caliper to the h1 will also work on the kz. going to fab up one sunday and see if i can get it to work.

If you are going to do a brake swap, then why not six pot calipers?
Here is a pic of a 650 with a set of six pots.
I'm still looking for the original post.

Yeah, but do those come in both right and left styles?

felt like the rd but way slower and a ton heavier but the stern definitely was up and floating . ok i was way over the handle bars loading the front end but a stoppie is a stoppy no matter how you spell it .
bracket #1 is way ugly made with a hack saw and grinder . will make something pretty and powder coat it know that i know it works.
yes to the dual set up , just add disc.

Hey guys new guy here. hate to bring up an old thread but I just got 77 c1 and the front brakes need a full rebuild but before investing in the old brake system. I did some research.
Did you ever mount the ex500 calipers ? If so do oh have any pics of brackets or the way you did it ?
