1984 GPZ 750 brake problem was created by jcote75
Hi,
Went for my first ride this week end.
Everything was fine expect when I arrived at home. I've notice that I may have a problem with the front brake.
It brake well and don't pulse in the lever. But I've notice that the front suspension was going up and down at low speed.
Is this just the bad disk that need to be replace or it could be something else in the direction, wheel, or suspension.
Thanks for your advise!
Jocelyn

Yes your correct, the front end dive when braking at low speed. But it does it like the front disk would be waive (not sure if this is the correct term). Not a vibration but a slow up and down. I don't feel it when I brake at high speed.

Pulse!!!! that was the word I was looking for!
No pulse in the lever. But pulse in the front suspension. Feel like the disk wouldntt be straith or that the shaft of the front wheel would be damage. But this would cause pulsation all the time.

I wonder if the problem is the antidive?

I was just going to suggest the same thing, since it basically "equalizes" pressure between the front brakes and forks.
I've heard of the anti-dive units leaking before, but never causing a "pulsating" feeling.
Ya never know though.
jcote75,
Perhaps the pads and discs were very hot and causing the pulsating feeling. You did state that you noticed this when you arrived home after a ride.
Where you riding on a road with a lot of twisties (and/or in "stop-and-go" traffic) and using the brakes a lot?
