Z1/Z2 Headlight Bracket was created by markerdown
So I finally find the headlight brace/bracket off my Z2. I misplaced it back in '85 and have had a wobbly (up and down) headlight for the past 22 years. The rubber dampner on the thing is pretty much dry rotted but none the less, I can use it. So, I go to unbolt the brake line valve thingy under the headlight(this is where it mounts and to a bolt on the underside of the headlight bucket).
On goes a squirt of WD40. Left bolt breaks loose no problems, right bolt...snap!! WTF.. I broke the bolt off with hardly any torque applied!!. No sweat I got spares. So I go find a few spare triple tree assemblies. Every freakin right bolt is snapped off. Is this thing left handed threads? Dang, now I gotta drill that sucker out and hope I can tap the threads. Never a dull moment with my ol' Z2 ...... markerdown

Fixed! Sure would like to find a new rubber dampner.
Mick: For some reason I couldn't get the site you referenced to open.
