KZ1000P conversion woes was created by liliysdad
In my quest to turn my KZ1000-P13 inot a standard, I have come to find the frame is quite a bit different. I bought a VERY nice set of footpeg brackets for a KZ1000J, only to find they will not fit. I also got the rear brake pedal with the brackets, only to find it will not fit either.
What I need to make the pedal work is a rear brake lever for a KZ1000J with the splined adapter end, as opposes to the rod end typ on the P series. Does anyone know where I might snag one of these, as bikeBandit wants around 80 bucks for this thin piece of stamped metal.

Stop the presses! Are you trying to make your bike into a normal 1000? I would happily trade my bike for yours as long as everything is on your bike still in order..... not seriously but I am looking for a cop bike.

I feel you pain, but luckily theres a machine shop next door to us...

I like that bike, but Im leaning more towards the Cafe Racer side of life. I will get it done, no big deal, but its gonna be a bit of work.

Not much to see right now, its in pieces. I am waiting on a tank to come in since mine was full of bondo. Still trying to decide what I am going to do for the tailpiece and seat. Also waiting for a XS Yamaha front fender that looks to be lost in the mail. My bars should be here tomorrow.
All I need to do right now is figure out what I am going to do on the brake pedal.
