usd fork swap-speedo cable question

i have a set of 2001 gsxr 750 front forks that i would like to put onto my bike. but i think i ran into a snag. what do i do for a speedo cable. i don't think the gixxer front wheel has a place for a cable (not sure yet)

any one that has done this swap with a newer set of forks, please help.

i only ask this question, becuase i have not heard anyone say anything about how they did there speedo set up. i did a bunch of searchs.
