screwed up upper shock mount bolt was created by oldkaws4ever
it's ticking me off, i dont know how to fix the upper shock mout bolt. The end of the bolt was cut kinda sloppy, and now i can't the nut to thread on the bolt. Any ideas???????????????? Thanks

It sounds like you need to use a tap and die set, and clean up the threads.
If you are actually saying that the bolt was cut by a PO, then I suspect you need to weld a new on on.

Good luck finding a die with the right thread pitch. Its a 12x1.0mm. You will have to look at MAC, Snap-On, or Matco since Autozone, Advanced Auto, Sears (Craftsman), Lowe's (Husky) and Harbor Freight only carry coarser thread pitches if they have them at all.
My 750 I'm working on has a buggered up thread on one of the shock mounts. The p.o. thought it was a good idea to thread a car's lug nut on it since he lost the original nut.
