KZ900 tires was created by Glen4747
Blew my back tire out while riding yesterday. I thought spoked wheels all used tubes? But myrear wheel on my KZ900 has a tubeless tire on it. Was I just wrong in the first place? Do all KZ900s have tubeless tires? If so, are both the rear and front wheels tubeless? Thanks for all the info. Just got the bike running again with new electronic ignition and rh control switch, and I run over a nail. oh well, what can you do? Guess I'll probably just get a dunlop D404 soon as i sort my confusion over tubes.

Spoke type wheels need tubes. I run modern tubeless tires on my 900 with tubes inside and don't have any problems. Look at the valve stem if your not sure, metal stem with a nut=tube, rubber stem with no nut=tubeless.

Almost all tires are "tubeless". Only the lowest quality tires are not. The wheel is the determining factor on whether you can actually go tubeless. On a tube type wheel, fit a tube. On a tubeless wheel no tube is needed. Either way you can and probably will run a tubeless type tire, but need a tube on a KZ900 definately.

I buy the thicker heavy duty tubes for all of my bikes. I don't skimp when it comes to the tires/tubes, their too important. If the rubber rim band around the rim is damaged, buy a new one. The spokes will damage your new tube quickly.
