Spectre fork diameter was created by coffeedragon
I've been searching through the forums trying to find the fork diameter for my '83 Spectre 550 and while there are lots of posts about other fork diameters, nothing for the Spectre. I would normally try to cross reference my fork against those already listed here but the Kawasaki parts database on their website is down for some reason.
Anyone know the fork diameter for an '83 Spectre 550? I'm looking for a headlight bracket and fork-mounted turns but I don't know what size to buy.
If no one knows, I'll just measure the circumference and do a little C/d=pi action on it.

I read it again, and saw you wanted diameter.
Why?
Anyway now you can use your formula.

I needed the diameter because I found a pair of turn signal clamps but they guy who is selling them has them measured in diameter. Seemed a bit odd to me as well but hey, it takes all kinds right?
By my calculations, 36mm C means 11.46mm diameter.

This conversation has me totally confused
You do understand that 36 mm "is" the diameter of the forks???
11.46 mm is less than 1/2", and I don't think I'd be interested in riding a bike with 1/2" diameter forks :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

alright, alright, enough laughing at my expense. it's been hotter than hell up here lately and spending my afternoons working on the bike has probably partially cooked my brain.
