wheel bearings was created by arobsum
are these things universal on a kz? for example, i took a rear mag wheel off of a police bike and mounted it to my 77 kz1000. works like a charm. i found a front mag i was going to use also but i want to replace the bearings first. are they all the same? what should i ask for? i don't even know what the front mag is off of. i found bearing kits on ebay but am unsure as to fit.

76-80 KZ1000 and 750 twin use the same bearings front and rear, 77-80 KZ650 shares the front wheel bearings with the 750 twin/1000.
There is a bearing list that tells you what bike uses what bearings under one of the tabs at the top.

If you can get the bearings out you can take them to Applied and they can match them up for you.
They may have some numbers on them that can be decoded as well.
