beefier kickstand for '79 KZ1000 ST?

I have a '79 KZ1000ST-recently purchased. I noticed the kickstand is slightly bent, the bike leans to the left side a little lower than normal. All that is preventing its demise is a kickstand no thicker than my finger. My question..
Are there any other kickstands out there that will fit the stock mounting hole and spring tension post, perhaps another model with thicker gauge steel and a rubber foot on the end for added traction and stability? Any ideas?
If anyone has done this conversion, or has a part number, let me know, maybe I can find one on Ebay if I know what to look for. Thanks.

The foot size on the end of the kickstand is about normal for bikes built back then, get one of those plastic or metal kickstand coasters from eBay or a shop. You can use just about anything really though as long as it doesn't crush up under the weight of the bike on it. That'll save it from falling over on soft surfaces.
Oh and nice avatar!

The KZ900LTD (1976) didn't come with a center stand because the pipes interfere. So Big K provided a beefed up side stand. Don't know about how it might fit on your frame. Also don't know how rare it is. And finally, I don't if other LTD models made after '76 (like the KZ1000LTD) also have a stronger side stand.
my 76 900 came with a factory centerstand that is currently on the floor of my garage because i replaced that section of the frame when i went with the monoshock

have you gotten anywhere on this? mine's at the point where if it gets any lower, I'll be laying it on the case guard and the stand at the same time! I haven't had the occasion to park next to another KZ since I've had it so I'm at a loss as to what the correct angle of the stand and mount "should" be. The KZ has a 2"X6" flat on the ground under the stand and my V65 Magna still sits at less angle without the extra wood!
Any help will be appreciated!

Shorty, post a photo of yours so we can see if yours is about the same as ours or not.
would it be asking too much to get you to take a pic of your side stand in the "up" position looking straight down at it? Mine seems to stick out to the side an awful lot and is definitely banana shaped (to the point that only the "heel" of it touches the ground)
I know I'm gonna replace it, but still have to convince myself that it's bent!
