7500 rpm's at 65 mph is this normal ?

i found a 13,14,15,16 front and 38,40,42 rear sprocket which ratio is best to fix my problem, oem is 16/38 ratio
Of all the sprockets you list the 16/38 would be of course be the lowest "numerical" ratio and would give the lowest rpm at a given speed but I ask what bike? 7500 @65 sounds like a little bike? Is this in high gear?

rpm's will drop some when i hit about 80 to 85 when i get on the throttle hard
Engine revs go lower as your speed goes higher? Sounds to me like you have other problems...

your rpm's going down as you go faster? thats odd it makes me think clutch slippage, but the clutch normally slips more with more throttle and also the faster you go. sounds like VOODOO to me :woohoo: :evil: :woohoo:
