Need the right seat cover was created by joshomatic
I finally got what I was after, a 78 KZ1000, It was pretty much original, bought from the first owner- the seat is coming apart So I ordered the replacement from JC Whitney and realized I don't have an original seat on the bike. I like whats on there now and need to know which cover to exchange this one for. Does anybody know what seat I have on this bike?
Thanks,
Josh

The picture in your avatar is kind of small, but it looks like you have an LTD seat.

I agree. Kaw made two types of seats. The flat (ironing board) model, and the stepped LTD model.
Looks like your '78 is a standard, not an LTD. So the seat is not original to the bike, but is probably from Kawasaki. J.C. Whitney has these seats under Kawasaki LTD Seats.
Good luck!
