Tank emblem screws was created by Ozzyzed
G'day zedders,
Have just bitten the bullet and tripped my tank back to reveal the tank screw holes (was going to stick the emblems on). Does anyone know what depth these hold go to? Also it look like the front end of the emblem is going to be quite raised off the front of the tank due to the curved nature of the tank when it is screwed on, how can i anchor it down?
Any help would be great.
Cheers Oz

as for curved shape i did the front screw first shaping the emblem front to back being gentle as you can then added back screw then tightened them both up i also added a little thread lock for good measure.

The emblem arrives "flat" but the metal is not springy and will hold a slightly curved shape.
Would minimize bending of emblem to avoid cracking emblem paint. Could start screw at one end and then slowly conform emblem curvature to tank by pressing other end toward tank and starting the other screw. Then snug down both screws. Be careful starting the screws as they are easily cross-threaded.

The emblems should come curved to match the contour of the tank, then simply screw them on. I bough new emblems for the KZ650 and they were preformed correctly at least.
