1973 kawasaki z1
1973 - 1975 z1 differences QUESTION was created by 00.
Hi I have just bought two bikes a 1973 and 1975 z1 but they are all in pieces and I'm finding that there are a lot of small differences such as the headlight ears and rear brake drum which one has a stamp on it the other does not, the chain adjusters one is smaller than the other. Can any one tell me all the differences inbetween theses years any info will help because I'm trying to make the 1973 bike very specific to its year I have all the parts but don't know which bike the parts fit to because many of the small differences are hard to find. Any info would help. Thanks

For starters, read the info on the
www.Z1Enterprises.com
site. Then start looking for a book called Original Kawasaki by David Marsden...the discussions in the book can be very detailed. Also, join the MSN site (Z1/Z900 owners group) as there are a number of people who frequent that site who are very detail oriented...this is not to say we can't help you here:)
