checked out a talon hub and 18"x 3.5" d.i.d with stainless spokes for rear and 18" d.i.d front with talon hub and stainless spokes at shop here in town suppose to get me price tomorrow hopefully hes cheaper otherwise ill just order from buchanan.if i get them ill have a 19" and 16" mag off 1000ltd free to good home just pay shipping! :whistle: goodluck,happy wrenching!

i'm lacing my did 18x3.5 with buch's spokes right now... got a fat 160 to put on there. hope i get it done tonight... that kosman arm on the bike needs some filling up. 8^)

If I may ask... Why 18's?

There's a much broader tire selection in 17" sizes.

(also thinking of going spoked on my LTD)

ive got robertsons checking on them for me,i havent ruled out 17s entirely yet though !this is starting to turn into another one of my expensive projects,but dont they all!:whistle: bwaha

there are a couple of decent tires in the 18" fitment, but mainly because i have a couple 18x3.5" did's around the shop.

my 77 came with a 19" front DID, and i found a matching 18" rear last summer. just now getting around to finishing the lacing. it's trued and ready to mount the tire that came on my 76 kz900 drag chassis. 8^)

my eventual plan is to get a 636rr front end, and swingarm. then i will get a set of the 05 636 six spoke wheels for the bike. 8^)

17's won't be an issue then.
