Brake Lever Swap out Steps was created by KOOL RYDER
I want to install a new brake lever and have no experience doing this.

I ordered a new brake lever and it has arrived, but I do not just want to pull the old one witout some idea of how the process works.

Is it as simple as unscrewing the bolt and swapping the new on in its place.

Please help with a step by step solutionB)

Turn the adjuster in to give you some slack and then unbolt, pull out the cable and then reverse to install.

If you're doing the front lever, it is just a simple unbolt the old, bolt on the new. If you're doing the rear, it's the same thing however the lever will probably be rusted to the shaft and need a little work to free up. Also on the rear, notice the shaft has a punch mark on it that lines up with the lever a certain way. Take note where the mark is and install the new lever the same way.
