Where'd you get your clubmans? was created by ds777
Hey, I just bought a 1980 KZ750 LTD with the intentions of going a cafe sort of route with it. I was wondering for those of you who have clubmans on their bikes, where'd you get them?
I was thinking of getting bars and grips from www.cb750cafe.com but wasn't sure about master cylinder clearance issues. Has anyone installed his bars?
Thanks, Derrick.

I picked mine up from Z1 Enterprises. On my '78 KZ650 I never had any clearance issues with the controls or MC on the bars but the bars did hit the tank. I had to modify the steering stop to prevent this. Other than that no problems.
One thing to note is that you better make sure there is enough space for the handlebar clamps. Some of the bars I looked at were not wide enough to fit between the KZ clamps. Not sure if the distance is narrower on the CB's.
However, I'm not sure how easy it is going to be to fill the brake reservoir. It sits at quite an angle. I'm waiting on a brake line from Z1 before I can fill and bleed my brakes, so I have yet to do it.

I put clubmans on my '81 KZ750 LTD. They fit great and do not hit the tank. I used the stock master cylinder, hoses and cables. Just had to be creative.
Here are the ones I bought: Clubmans on Ebay
Here is a link to my project in the Projects Forum showing the installation of these bars and other stuff: My Project
