What swingarm? was created by badrhino
Hi, just wondering what swingarms fit the 1980 KZ1000 with little or no modifications.
I would like to put a different one on so I could go wih a wider rear wheel. It isn't really necessary but I thought it would look better with a wider rearend.

Earlier Suzuki Gsxr arms also fit without alot of mods. You will have to decide on if you want to mono-shock or keep your twin shock.

I have a few used swingarms that I am considering. I was just wondering what the measurments was for the original swingarm so I could decide wich would be the best fit with little modifications.
I have :
1998-2003 Suzuki TL1000R
2003 Kawasaki 636
2004 Yamaha R1
89-97 Kawasaki ZX-6R

I think that the stock arm at least on the slightly older model Kz900/1000 are 235mm across at the pivot and use a 16mm (I think) pivot bolt.
