i use plugs in my backhoe tires but they rarely get over 25mph!:laugh: id say change the tire;)

ive been over my head in service calls for so long i dont even have time to think about hotrodding anything right now,that would be fun though if you could find a hydraulic pump that would hold up to it!:laugh:

I dont think the stock rims on a 1980 1000 LTD are tubeless rims, so you should be using tubes now!

893cv, my wheels do say tubeless right on them, and they sure look stock to me.

Depends upon how big the cut is if it is a small puncture a tube will work just fine. Mechanics put tubes in tubeless tires all the time.
They sure do, they also fix "tube" tires with a plug and a new tube. I don't see any greater risk in plugging and tubing this tire.
