I know it would not be any fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

I don't care for the tires on my bike and they are looking a little worn. What tires do you guys have on your bikes and why do you like them? (assuming you like them)

I have Continental Conti-Forces on my 1000 and they seem fine for what that bike can do. My Duc has a Dunlop D207 front and a D208 rear. The Dunlops are sticky enough but the rear doesn't last all that long (3-4000 miles.)

Dnyce, I was looking up your shinko's and found these. Anyone know if the
009 Ravens
are any good?
And I hear that the Dunlop tires wear irregularly? Or is that only specific tires?

i havent used them, but they're supposed to be the longest lasting of the shinko tires.
what type of riding do you do mostly? freeway commute, corner carving twisty riding, stoplight to stoplight racer, etc?
and what size tires do you need?
dif tires for dif riding styles. a great tire 4some else may be a crappy tire for you....

I do a lot of freeway and aggressive street riding. If I find a twisty I like to ride them out too. I was probably going to stay near the stock size cause I do not know enough to stray off the beaten path. Would you recommend a different size?

Running Avon on the rear and Metzeler on the rear and have no problems with either. Alwasy had good luck with Metzlere 880 series tires. So far, Avon tires seem to be holding up good.

Just got a set Metzlere's new Laser Tecs on mine, haven't been to the track with them yet but they seemed fine on the first 80 mile ride. I used the Metz. ME33 and ME99's before and they stick good enough to ground the alt. case on the left and the Kirker on the right. I hear that the Laser Tecs are stickier and wear longer. (got about 6K on the rears and 10K on fronts w/MEs) Tried the Pirelli Sport Demons and they stuck good but my bike just felt "funny" with them and they wore VERY fast, about 2K out of rear.

i wasnt suggesting changing sizes- unless your out draggin knee around the corners, or you just want it for looks, theres no real benefit to change the size.
just curious what size you needed. i always hear good things about pirelli corsa III's and michelin pilot powers if you're fairly aggressive in the twistys
