KZ700 fuel tank gauge removal was created by Treeman
I have an 84 KZ700 and can't figue out how to remove the fuel guage from the tank. Anyone know how?

Hello Andrew...drain the fuel, pull the tank off the bike. Flip the tank upside down and pop off the plastic cover on the underside of the tank. There are six bolts that hold the gauge onto the tank...remove those and extract the potentiometer style gauge, being careful not to tear the rubber gasket. Viola!

It will depend on what type of riding you are doing...if you are just puttering around on the weekend or commuting, then I'd go inexpensive, e.g Cheng Shins for tires and some eBay aftermarket shock specials...if you are really riding the bejeebers out of it, then go with Progressive shocks and highend tires (of which there are a number that would work well on your bike)
