Where to get master cylinder rebuild kits?

The rear is a different matter - it's a much tricker proposition to find one that'll bolt up and share the same linkage without modification.

Single disc and don't know.
what youve got is a 1/2 inch master there. i couldnt find a kit for mine either so im going to dual calipers and a 5/8 master. im pretty sure you can still get that part from kawasaki though. it will cost you more...good luck...steve

Found this thread searching for master cylinder re-build kits on the boards. Did anyone reach a conclusion about:
1. Front master cyl rebuild kit for KZ650 C?
2. Rear master cyl re-build kit for same?
Thanks!

I put the master from a 93 CBR F3 on my 440. Works like a dream, and get the added perk of having the adjustable lever. Plus it is already angled in case i decide to put on clip ons at some point.

If you have the trapezoid shaped master cylinder on your 650 then go to Redline Cycles at this link. I believe the last kit on the page will fit the 650 with the trapezoid shape master. That master was also used on some of the bigger Kaws, like the 1000 A2 I think.

I don't know about the rear master, sorry.

Not sure about the rear, but I think the kit I used for the front of my '78 650C (triangular) was for a '77 or '78 KZ1000 A1/A2 (or '78-'79 A3/A4???). Can't remember which one, but it was 5/8 and it did work.

Did you get that kit from Parts 'N More? Looks just like the one they have for sale on their site.

Master cylinder replacement piston for the REAR master on my 1978 KZ650 C2: FOUND.
www.nwvintagecycleparts.com/index.php
This place is the BOMB. You can search their parts inventory by Kaw parts numbers from the schematics on the Kaw website. That's how I found the piston for the re-build on my rear master. They've got a great selection of Kaw parts and the folks are helpful.
Check 'em out.....
