Help Please Guys, there's a master cylinder repair kit on fleabay for "KZ550, KZ750,KZ1000", BUT it doesnt say if its a 1/2 inch or 5/8.
Question, were there ever any of these models in the States using the smaller diameter?

Single front disk brakes use the 1/2 inch m/c. Is the part no. shown on the eBay listing? Good Luck!

OEM m/c are usually stamped on the bottom, 5/8 or 14mm (1/2). Is it too late for a "question to seller?"
Am thinking the 14mm m/c doesn't show up nearly as often as the 5/8. If there's any doubt, would much prefer to deal with Z1E.
Good Luck!

Z1E lists the 5/8 m/c cyl repair kit for $38.29.
Z1E 5/8" m/c repair kit
If the 1/2 (14mm) is needed, would inquire to Z1E anyhow before looking elsewhere. If Z1E doesn't carry it, may suggest another source. Good Luck!

Check out Redline Cycles. They have kits for 1/2" and 5/8" and also the oddball trapezoid shaped 14mm cylinder, like on the 650B2 and 1000 A2.

Hi Patton, the attraction was the price, $20.
I'm looking for a dual setup kit,it was the combination of Z1000,Z750,Z550 that I suspected could help narrow it down to whether it was half or 5/8.
Just wish sellers were more accurate in describing goods.
As soon as I read your last post this morning wrt the Z1000,given that the 550 didn't appear until 1980,AND IF the scant info provided by the seller was factually correct, it MAY have fitted. B******s!!!!See comment above concerning sellers.
Thanks for the info Kent, I'll have a look at that.
"There'll be another along soon":woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
