wire wheels was created by judgie
my 650c1 has the cast mag wheels twin disc. can i swap them out for spoked wheels with out changing anything but the wheels? thinking i can swap the rims for some slightly wider alloy ones poss 18"front and rear or both 17".

If you can find somebody who can tell you if there is a stock-wheel swap, past that point you should be able to just call a rim manufacturer like Excel and see if they can make you some rims then get the right spokes (perhaps another 'issue') and you might be able to have a relatively stock-ish set-up.

yes they can be swapped as long as you keep same style brakes,happy now?:laugh:

IF you can find early kz wire wheels and have them relaced to aluminum rims or any width you'de like and you could go with 17 or 18. I would do 18 all around if given the choice.

seen a few sets of wire wheels go on uk e-bay this last month or so. there out there and i'll find a set over the winter and have them relaced with some 18" rims.
