Removing pads was created by Pwallace30
I just pulled the front brakes off of my 650, and accidently pulled the brake lever causing the pads to close. Now I need to re-open them, how do I do this? thanks

put a piece of rubber hose on the bleeder valve of each caliper and open the valve letting it drain into an old can or whatever you have as you push pistons back into caliper, just remember to top off master cylinder.if fluid looks nasty might be a good time to flush old fluid and bleed brakes.

stick a large flat screwdriver or small pry bar in between the pads and turn it sideways that will force the brake fluid back up into the master cylinder not a big deal it happens all the time, easy fix.

one other thing if your dealing with dual discs when you get the one side freed up put something in between the pads to prevent them closing up when you free up the other side

I pry them apart with a wooden stick like a paint stir stick.
