Handlebar riser fitment was created by clutch
Hey guys,
I recently installed a drag bar (handlebar) in place of the stock pullback bar on my '80 kz250. I haven't ridden it yet with the new bars (waiting for my new sprockets ), but just sitting on it in the garage gives me the feeling that it might be a little lower than I will be comfortable with. Has anyone had any luck finding risers that bolt up (ie: no tinkering to make them work) on a kz (preferrably a 250)?
Thanks,
Clutch

Some of the dirtbike aftermarket suppliers make a 7/8" to 7/8" handlebar riser.
Or just buy some "Bikemaster" brand superbike bars. They should only go for about $20 at a cycle shop that deals with Tucker Rocky.

Actually, after riding it Saturday and today, I think I like the bar placement. For some reason it's actually more comfortable seating position for me than with the pull back ltd bars. (plus I can get a real tight tuck to reduce drag LOL!)

What I did was use a extra pair of top clamps, upside down, under the drag bars. I needed a little room to clear the speedo with the clutch master cylinder.
Seems pretty comfy to me. Never had an back pains, just the sore a$$ from the worn out seat. Foot controls could stand to be moved back a bit. . .
