front brake question was created by donthekawguy
I'm looking at some braided lines for my 77 1000. The problem is I have the front caliper that has the hard line and I'm not sure if a banjo bolt will work with the type caliper. I have that set of red calipers off of my 78 that I can blast that I can use a banjo bolt with. But a problem with that could be the rotor size. Are the rotors the same size on the front for both the ltd and A models? I know the rear is different but never got into the front sizes before.

Bump. If anyone knows if a front caliper from a z1 will work with my 77 spoke front rotor let me know.

Brakes will make you a custom braided line to work with the hardline you have. Their prices are reasonable. You just sned them your stock line and specify color of the covering and ends and if you need it longer or shorter and they make you one and ship it back. The couple times I did this for people at the bike shop I use to work at turn around time was within a week or so.
I'm checking on brake rotor sizes now, so I'll get back to you on those.

According to EBC's catalog the rotors are 296mm from 73-78ish.
So I assume that the Z1 caliper will work with a Kz rotor and vice-versa.
