Ok got the shop to get bearings out of swingarm. Ordered what I thought was the kit with bearings and sleeve. But the sleeve I got is to short. Now I have tried to order the sleeve from Babbits and bike bandit and no luck. Any help. 1979 kz650-c3

The diagram is kind of misleading as they used a different sleeve in 77 than 78-79. Correct sleeve is 42036-1012. Bikebandit part # 589641-001. About $26

I tried to order one this past Spring, for a kz650c3 and was told at the dealer it was no longer available.
The mechanic said the sleeve wears down before the bearings do.
Turned out my bearings and sleave were ok in the end and I didn't need either.
I did see one or two on ebay since then.
