I've been told that they were made by RC Engineering. I have these and they are unmarked. The rears are aluminum and the front is steel. I have been told that you need to trim/delete the tin cover at the front sprocket and it may not fit the stock chain guard.
Ashubi (SP?) still makes the chains for this set up.

There's been a couple of companies who did this back in the 70's.

AZUSA is one. I have the documentation here somewhere for one of their chain/sprocket combinations. What was bad about it, you had to chop a chunk out of the fromt sprocket cover.

MANY years ago, they used to use these on Top Fuelers and maybe funnybikes. Chains weren't the best then and with the power these bikes were making back then, chains didn't last long, so someone came up with this set-up and most of your high horsepower bikes used this set-up. Once chains caught up to the rest of the bike, then they didn't need the double row chain/sprocket combination.

I think I'd be more interested in a belt set up like HD runs. I had two of 'em ('95 Sportster, '00 Softail) and was really impressed with their smoothness and strenght. I even did a few burnouts with that heavy ol' softail and it didn't complain a bit.

A lot cleaner than a chain also.

Anyone know of a kit? ;-)

Could you even get a chain for that anymore? it would look pretty interesting on a street bike.
