Well you could make the one you have structurally sound by laying some fiberglass and cloth on top of it. Make the cloth go in alternate directions as you layer it. I would only add it to the top and use the metal on the bottom to make the fit better and to use the existing mounts and hardware. I just questioned using the POR15 cause I don't know if it would help or be a weak spot in having the fiberglass adhere to the metal.
Then I got the (bright?) (dim?) idea of using a release agent to facilitate the fiberglass removal from the old pan. Thus sort of molding your own pan. Using your pan as a mold only. But in this you would have to boss certain areas for mounts and structure.
I think I would use the first method and use both the metal and the fiberglass as a pan. I believe the one I saw did just that.
Don't forget to cut pressure reliving holes or you could have an exploding seat or the first whoopie cushion motorcycle seat. :whistle: :whistle:
