id take 2 stock arms cut one long and the other short to get your lengthwithout having to splice a piece in between the 2 then id make some slugs/tubes to slide about 2 1/2" into each end and plug weld in 3-4 places on each then butt weld in between the 2 and grind it all down.

that used to be common practice before sportbike armsbecame so cheap.
