18\" rear alloy for 79KZ1000LTD

Guy up the freeway is looking for an 18" alloy rear wheel for his 79KZ1000LTD. I've rooted around archives and could not find a list of bikes that shipped with this wheel. Any info appreciated.

Z1rs,and 79-80 kzs should have 18" back wheel.tell him i said goodluck i can get a 3.5" d.i.d rim for what the guy wanted for the one i looked at here locally a while back!:whistle:

Man, I really lucked out on my first and favorite, the KZ1000A1. Came with 29mm smoothbores and the 18" rear...All this before I knew anything about them.

I'll tell him they're scarce. I do know one guy with a mountain of wheels behind his shed. Could be one buried in there somewhere...Best buddy and I were looking for a 75 Duc 750 SS rear wheel for his ride, just yesterday, in a pissing cold rain, but no luck. We were not paying attention to Kaw wheels. I'm not doing that again anytime soon!

I have a 1979 650C3 18" rear mag . Part #'s on Buy Kawasaki are different, but they don't have a number just for the Mag. Maybe someone knows if their interchangeable?

Not directly interchangable (the 650 has a smaller axle than the 1000) but it "can" be made to fit. With enough work anything is possible :laugh:
