77 Kz 750 Twin dual disks. was created by Lukes6
Just a couple of questions.
1. Did any 750 twins come with dual disks?(as you can see mine has the mounts for duals)
2. Are the rotors themselves the same on both left and right sides?(i definitely have bolt holes in the hub that look like i could mount a second disk but am not sure if there are any differences in the disk itself.
3. What other bikes did come with dual disks that i could use the calipers off?
4. Would anyone have a RH caliper and rotor they could sell me?

I have a caliper off a 750 Twin. PM me. I also have a disc, but it has rust pits on it. If you plan on drilling the disc, it would look alot better than it does now (no pic)
The caliper was working fine when removed, but has been off the bike for about a year and probably should be cleaned out. It needs pads and the inner pad retaining plate (screws to the inner pad).

I made that conversion using a complete setup off of a 79 1300.
Here's a pic:
I did it for the fun of it even if the biggest result was a huge increase in unsprung weight.
Someday I'll scrounge around and find a cast wheel for the rear.
If any body can fix me up with a seat lock for a 79 750 twin, I'd sure appreciate it.

Hi Luke,
I'm not sure if the dual disks helped the braking as I did the changeover pretty soon after I got the bike. I sure did have a time trying to get the system bled.

Your B4 sure looks good for it's age. That's what mine looked like about 15 years ago......
I don't think the need any help on the front brake, mine will bottom the fork and chirp the tire if I hit it hard.
You also have the same MAC exhasut pipes I do: but I hammered the muffler onto the pipe farther so the end of the muffler doesn't interfere with the axle nut.

Hey BH,
I really do like that exhaust system. Being single wall it browned pretty quickly, which is to be expected. It was relatively easy to adjust the carbs, with your advice (pilots 50). It sure makes a nice sound.

Your pipes look beautiful, can't even see any bluing at the turn. I bought mine used and they showed up blue.... deep blue, not wimpy sky blue.
I have to take back some of the grumbling I previously did on MAC: they do sound pretty good, more of a harley type roar instead of a rice burner howl.
The performance is pretty good now, I'd say about like stock pipes maybe without so much low end pull because of no crossover pipe. 50 pilot/125 main is what seems to run best, but a 47.5 pilot seems to be pretty OK as well.
